The Ascension Amateur Radio Club, located in Ascension Parish, Louisiana, is a group of amateur radio operators, or “Hams”, who share common goals. These include promotion of the “art” of radio, public service, disaster relief, and technical innovation.

The AARC operates a group of repeaters in Ascension Parish; these repeaters are open to all licensed amateur radio operators. The primary repeater is 147.225 Mhz, with a 107.2 Pl tone. We also operate the 146.985 repeater with a 107.2 Pl, and 145.310 with a 107.2 Pl.

The AARC meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM. Check the home page for location. There is a talk in on the 147.225 repeater. We also have two weekly nets, one on the 147.225 repeater, Thursday nights at 8:00 PM and one on the 146.985 repeater, Saturday nights at 9:00 PM.
